SARAH BAARTMAN DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY CONGRATULATES THE MATRIC CLASS OF 2025 ON OUTSTANDING RESULTS

The Sarah Baartman District Municipality proudly congratulates the Grade 12 Class of 2025 on achieving an impressive 86.4% pass rate in the 2025 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.
This remarkable achievement places the District 4th overall in the Eastern Cape Province and sees Sarah Baartman District exceeding the provincial pass rate of 84.17%, a clear reflection of the hard work, dedication and resilience of learners, educators, parents and the broader education community.
The District further commends the following schools for attaining a 100% pass rate in the 2025 NSC examinations:

Nompucuko Combined School – Ndlambe Municipality

Gill College – Blue Crane Route Municipality

Global Leadership Academy – Kouga Municipality

Graeme College – Makana Municipality

Kirkwood High School – Sundays River Valley Municipality

Paul Sauer High School – Koukamma Municipality
Special recognition is also extended to Langkloof Senior Secondary School, which recorded the most improved pass rate, improving by an outstanding 36.7% compared to 2024. This achievement demonstrates what is possible through commitment, perseverance and collective effort.
Executive Mayor of the Sarah Baartman District Municipality, Cllr Deon de Vos, congratulated the Class of 2025 and all those who supported them, saying:
“These results are a powerful reminder that when learners are supported by dedicated teachers, involved parents and caring communities, excellence becomes achievable. To the Class of 2025 – your success inspires hope and confidence in the future of our District and our country.”
The Municipality extends its sincere appreciation to all learners, educators, school management teams, parents and guardians, as well as the Department of Education, for their unwavering commitment to academic excellence.
In continuing its support for education, the Sarah Baartman District Municipality will also be participating in the Back-to-School Programme, which will take place from 14 to 16 January 2026 at schools across the District. This programme aims to motivate learners, promote a positive learning environment and reaffirm the importance of education as the foundation for sustainable development.
Once again, the Sarah Baartman District Municipality congratulates the Matric Class of 2025 and wishes all successful learners every success as they take the next steps in their academic and career journeys.
